- ahhhh suuuper gorgeous ambient house music. it just completely envelops you in its soundscape (also this took 7 years holy shit???)
- music to vibe to while you're at a sleek, post-modern upscale restaurant in las vegas with dim purple lighting and $30 appetizers

kirby and the forgotten land
- no surprise here that this OST rules, all the classic style with a modern framework
- i absolutely LOVE how kirby appropriately credits each composer's tracks. it really is so special how the series consistently cares about its music
- certain kirby tracks give me goosebumps literally within the first 10 seconds. sky tower does that and so does faded dream of a psychomeddler
- also welcome back, kirby is the best green greens arrange ever
casual birder/battle kitty
- maxo was far far too powerful this year
- casual birder is just 4 tracks and yet it's still oozing with color and battle kitty is incredible, just super precise and confident aaaaaaaa (and yes this counts cause uhhh it's interactable?? don't worry about it)
- also there are some absolutely unhinged are-you-fucking-kidding-me moments in battle kitty. pick a random track and you'll find at least one insane moment somewhere in there
- the map themes are my personal favorite, just phenomenal and inspiring
nintendo switch sports
- oh no

- lightning strike, digital fusion fans scream in terror
- the main theme is definitely reminiscent of wii sports, but it doesn't have an identity or sound of its own
- and for the individual sports tracks, even with some cool moments here and there, i can't ignore how bland and samey it is. i've heard all of this before, i just don't see its soul
- also saw someone in the YT comments compare this to miitopia which NO, miitopia is Excellent how dare you
